Class 5: Week 8

Hey All!

Hope you are all having a great weekend! This week we worked on layout. As I mentioned last week, we are taking our finished animatic and translating that to Maya. In 3D, we are blocking out our cameras, characters and props so that we will have it all set up for animation next term.

For this week, we were asked to finish the first third of our layout. Our mentor asked that we focus a little more on posing the characters than you normally would on layout. So, I made sure to get the characters close to the poses they will be in during the final animation. This is just a BASIC layout for now and we will refine it once we go into animation.

Thanks for stopping by and here is my the first third on my layout and the rest is storyboards. Next week, the second third of the layout and then we'll only have 3 weeks left in Class 5. Then, we'll start animating in Class 6!!! I can't wait to have this thing finished and rendered!! Hopefully i can get it all done!! As always, I'd love to hear any comments or critques you have!!
